In Need Of A Master Gardener
In Need Of A Master Gardener
To the Editor,
I am a volunteer at Southbury Training School and have become aware of the need for two memorial gardens that the residents would like to plan in memory of friends that have died recently.
They are interested in using colors that their friends liked and flowers and bushes that would attract butterflies, along with chimes and other objects. This will probably take two or three visits with the residential staff and residents.
I would like to have a volunteer master gardener or person interested in landscaping, who would be willing to share some of their interests in the design of these gardens. If you need more information on these projects, please call me at Volunteer Services, 203/586-2497.
Volunteer Services, residents and staff will nurture these special gardens.
This would truly be a gift to start something that the volunteers would have the pleasure of continuing in the future for the residents of these homes.
Sincerely,
Julia Sayegh
