Health Center Offers Diabetes Screening

DANBURY — Sixteen million Americans have diabetes, and one in three people do not even know it, according to the American Diabetes Association. Diabetes is a serious illness that increases your chance of developing heart disease – if it is left untreated. Could you have diabetes or high blood pressure and not know it? Find out at the Danbury Hospital Adult Health Center’s Diabetes and Blood Pressure Screening to be conducted on Friday, April 14.

The free screenings include a diabetes risk assessment, fingerstick blood sugar test, and blood pressure monitoring, which will be conducted at the Siefert & Ford Family Community Health Center, 70 Main Street in Danbury, from 10 am to noon. No fasting is required.
