Clay Class For Children
DANBURY â Wooster Community Art Center (WCAC) is offering âExploring Clayâ for children ages 5-8 on Wednesdays, beginning March 29. The class will run through May 17, meeting each week from 4 to 6 pm.
The course encourages the development of creativity and imagination in the young child while introducing them to the medium of clay. Finished pieces are colorfully glazed and kiln fired.
Cost of the course is $135, with all materials included.
Instructor Christine Owen is a professional ceramicist and experienced teacher. She holds a BA in ceramics from SUNY/New Paltz, and spent two years studying ceramics in Japan. She is currently working with the sculptor Joy Brown at Still Mountain Center in Kent.
