Staff at Newtown Power Equipment in Hawleyville on Monday, March 13, said that the firm's stock of snow throwers was selling briskly as residents prepared for what was predicted to be the heaviest snowstorm of the winter. Blizzard warnings from the National Weather Service have people making preparations for  snow conditions of several inches.
