What do you think about the rapid increase in the price of gas? Have you been affected by it? Have you made any changes in your life because of it?

Barbara Richardson: “I have to drive to New York twice a week, so I’m keeping my old Honda going, which gets 40 miles per gallon.

Andrew Portnoy: “My parents pay for my gas, so it doesn’t really affect me. My parents aren’t doing anything differently. I mean, you have to get to work, right?”

Elise Brady-Moe: “It’s certainly annoying that we know OPEC controls the price [of gas], and they can do something about it. I travel a lot, so I realize that it is affecting my life. But we really shouldn’t complain [about gas prices] in the US, given what other countries spend.”

Nick Piperis: “I’m retired, so I can’t do anything. I gotta go where I gotta go. I still have to visit my grandchildren. I’m looking for a new car, so I’m looking for a midsize car that’s economical.”

Carley B Andrews: “I’m not liking the increases in price, but I haven’t changed my driving habits, yet. If it goes up another 10 cents I might have to just start driving for necessity.”

Jennifer Engel: “I have a house heated by gas, so that hurts. Last summer, I drove every weekend, so this summer I might not drive every weekend.”
