Protecting A Resource                  

To the Editor:

I am writing to express my support of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s proposal for upzoning.

This action is necessary to protect one of the most fundamental requirements of our community – a clean and available water supply. Protection of this fundamental resource will ensure the long-term existence of the quality of life here in Newtown. It is important that we, as citizens of Newtown, look to the long-term benefits of protecting this aquifer now, and support the commission’s proposal.
