Ann Costa Palmieri

Ann Costa Palmieri, 92, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Augustine J. Palmieri, Sr, for 64 years, died March 11. Born July 7, 1922, in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Filomena and Joseph Costa.

Survivors include her son, Augustine Palmieri, Jr, of Newtown; her daughter, Lynn Ann Conine, and her husband Richard, of Milford; three grandchildren, Frank Souza of Milford, and Aidan and A.J. Palmieri of Fairfield, who reside with Deborah Palmieri; a brother, Paul Costa of Trumbull; sister, Theresa Hanlon of Trumbull; sisters-in-law, Dora Costa of Trumbull and MaryAnn Palmieri of San Jose, Calif., and many loved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, her sister Rose Salvaggio, brother Frank Costa, and baby sister Theresa Costa predeceased Mrs Palmieri.

Before moving to Stratford, Mrs Palmieri lived in Trumbull for 35 years. She had her broker’s license in real estate, and worked as a secretary and treasurer in her husband's architectural business, A.J. Palmieri Architect and Associates, for 25 years.

She was an active member of the Mill River Country Club in Stratford for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling, and tennis. Mrs Palmieri also loved her winters in Florida.

The Palmieres life was a true love story. They were apart from each other only for a week, and family is pleased they will now be together again forever.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, Friday, March 13, at 10:30 am, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
