Shakespeare’s ‘Dream’ Friday

William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed by the eighth grade students of the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School this Friday, March 12, at 11 am and 6:30 pm, at the Walnut Hill Community Church, 156 Walnut Hill Road in Bethel.

The public is welcome, and the play is appropriate for children ages 9 and up.

The students have prepared for the production under the direction of their class teacher Melissa Merkling, with the help of Charles Keating, a former Royal Shakespeare Company member and Emmy-winning actor who provided inspiration, expertise, and encouragement during the rehearsal process. The 11 students will play a total of 19 roles, in addition to performing on recorder, voice, and guitar.
