Healing Hearts Offers Infant Loss Support Group

DANBURY — The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families will offer a special group to help parents who have experienced loss of pregnancy, at birth, or early infancy. This group will provide a safe space for parents to remember their baby and to share with other parents who have experienced loss.

The group will begin on Monday, March 14, at 7 pm, and will continue meeting on the second Monday of each month at The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families, located at 73 Stadley Rough Road.

The group will be led by led by Christine Mastropietro, RN, and Carolyn Wolfe, MSW. Ms Mastropietro is Regional Hospice’s perinatal hospice coordinator and was previously a labor and delivery nurse for ten years.

She completed Resolve Through Sharing bereavement training to facilitate groups specifically for pregnancy and infant loss. Ms Wolfe is a hospice and bereavement social worker with extensive experience supporting grieving families.

The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families is a program of Regional Hospice of Western CT, Inc. Healing Hearts has received national recognition for its unique programs and services for the community including numerous support groups, workshops and programs provided to the public free of cost throughout the year.
