A Promising Old Idea

To the Editor:

Years ago I ran into some Newtown Bridle Lands Association people who suggested turning Fairfield Hills into a New England Equestrian center. The acreage is there, the access to transportation is there, and the best part of their idea was the interesting and useful part-time jobs that an equestrian center would offer to Newtown’s young people.

Now that they’re back, perhaps the town should encourage them to propose their excellent idea, again.
