With damage repair from the February 17 flood  nearly complete, Lana Bennison, children’s librarian, said Monday, March 9, that the department hopes to reopen by Wednesday, March 11.  New carpeting has been laid, ceiling tiles repaired, and only a small amount of restoration remains to be completed. Shelves are back in place and workers from J. P. Maguire were hard at work early this week replacing books. Patrons may notice a few gaps in the collection, though, as the library continues to work to replace the nearly 10,000 books damaged by water. Ms Bennsion suggested that library users continue to check the library website, www.chboothlibrary.org, for updates on the reopening.

Boxes of books are being replaced on shelves, in preparation for the reopening of the Children's Department at C.H. Booth Library.
