Edward Farnsworth Wallace, 81, of Sandy Hook and formerly of Pawtucket, R.I., and Ocala, Fla., died March 3 of complications arising from pneumonia.

Mr Wallace was a Naval officer, having served proudly for 23 years, and later was the director of purchasing for17 years at Brown University in Providence. 

His wife, Dori Wallace; his son, Kevin Wallace and his daughter, Kate McDonnold, and her fiancé Gary Dayton; his grandson, Grant Wallace; three brothers, Earl, Walter, and Stephen R. Wallace, and his wife Jackie; a sister, Marilyn Tretton, and her husbandJack Tretton, Jr, survive Mr Wallace. A daughter, Keri Lynn Starling, predeceased him.

A memorial service is being planned for the spring, in Ocala, where the Wallaces developed deep and lasting friendships.
