Denise L. Douglas, 63, of Newtown died March 7 at Paradigm Health Care Center in Prospect, after a brief illness. She was born September 30, 1952, in Fairfield, L.I., N.Y., and was a daughter to the late Ella (Roberts) and Harry T. Douglas.www.prospectmemorial.com.

She attended Bryant College and, prior to her illness, was an administrative assistant and office manager at New Milford Tractor in Brookfield. She also worked in similar capacities at Pakulis Equipment and W.I. Clark Co, and until December 2015, at C-Co Technology in Newtown.

Ms Douglas loved dogs, gardening, politics, reading, and vegetarian cooking.

A brother, Brian Douglas of Brookfield, survives her.
