Safe Boating Course Scheduled

Leaps of Faith Disabled Skiers of Sandy Hook is hosting a fundraiser to support returning veterans and the disabled community participate in adaptive waterskiing and snow skiing.

The group will host a Safe Boating Course where participants will receive a certificate enabling them to secure a Connecticut state boating license. The license does not expire and is recognized in all states.

The boating license course will be offered on Saturday, March 31, from 8 am until 4 pm, at the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue main station, 18-20 Riverside Road. The course is open to those ages 12 and up. All instructors are from the Coast Guard Auxiliary and are certified to instruct this course.

Cost is $59, and registration is due by March 28. Refreshments and a gourmet lunch are included in the course fee.
