A Friend To Many

Marilyn Baier, 78, of Newtown, formerly of Rahway, N.J., died peacefully on February 28, with her loving family by her side.

Susan Tibbetts and Jeffrey Baier, son-in-law Robert Tibbetts, and the joys of her life, her two grandsons Michael and Jamey Tibbetts, all survive her. She will be terribly missed by her “Brooklyn buddies,” her old friends in New Jersey, and her new friends in Connecticut.

Marilyn was born August 1, 1933, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Julia and Joseph Krusberger. After her high school graduation, Marilyn worked for Equitable Life Assurance in New York City, where she met her husband, Artie Baier. They were married for 41 years, until he passed away in December 1995.

It was her wish to be cremated and have a private service.
