Kent Art Association To Present Annual Student Show
KENT â The Gallery at the Kent Art Association will present 17th Annual Secondary School Student Show, March 10-18.
Art teachers from Connecticut and New York have entered their public and independent secondary school studentsâ artwork for the fine art show.
Opening day is Saturday, March 10, and at that time cash prizes, Awards of Excellence, and one-year student memberships to Kent Art Association will be presented at 2 pm. The public is invited to join participating artists for the opening reception, which will run from 12 to 4 pm. Refreshments will be served.
The show was judged by prize winning artist Alfred Haywood and renowned artist member Suzan Scott. Connie Horton and Davia Fink coordinated the show.
This exhibition highlights the amazing creativity of these young artists and gives them the opportunity experience showing their work in a gallery.
The show will remain on view, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 pm, until March 18 only.
