Jacqueline O’Neill

Jacqueline (Latzke) O’Neill, 70, of St Albans, Vt., and formerly of Sandy Hook, died peacefully on March 3, after a long illness. She was born on August 23, 1941, in Bridgeport, and was the daughter of Theodore and Winifred “Irene” Neary Latzke. She was a graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport.

Mrs O’Neill worked as an executive secretary for the state of Connecticut, first at Fairfield Hills Hospital and then at Housatonic Adolescent Hospital. She retired in 1995, and moved soon thereafter to Vermont.

She is survived by three daughters, six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and their families.

At Jacqueline’s request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will take place at the family’s convenience, and funeral services will be private.
