Clayton Lefebvre
A Loving Spirit
Clayton N. Lefebvre, 90, of Newtown, loving husband of Mary (Fargnoli) Lefebvre and beloved father, died March 5, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Windsor on August 19, 1921, son of Loretta (Neville) and Rudolph Lefebvre.
Clayton was a veteran who proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of St Thomas Seminary and earned his BS degree in 1953 from University of Connecticut while raising his family.
Mr Lefebvre enjoyed a career as an appraisal engineer and became CEO of Appraisal Consultants to Industry. He spent much of his life in the service of others. He served with the Knights of Columbus, was a hospice volunteer and often was at the side of family in time of need. Mr Lefebvre also found much joy and peace in his service to Holy Spirit Church in Newington as Eucharistic minister and assisted with many services. Most of all, Clayton embodied a loving spirit and he had no greater joy than to reach out, spread and share his love in only the way Clayton could. His great heart, wit and humor, will live on through his service to his family and community.
In addition to his wife, Mr Lefebvre is survived by his six children and their spouses, Stephen and Sherri Lefebvre of New Zealand, Richard and Sara Lefebvre of New Hampshire, Gregory Lefebvre of California, Michael and Kristen Lefebvre and James and Jen Lefebvre, all of Fairfield, and Terese and Thomas Pepin of Danbury; his sister-in-law, Dolores âDeeâ Lefebvre of Andover; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ernest, and his sister, Rita North.
