'A True Champion Of Our Mission'
To the Editor:
On the evening of Monday, February 27, The Foundry Kitchen and Tavern in Sandy Hook hosted a fundraiser for The Avielle Foundation.
Our mission is to prevent violence and build compassion in communities by fostering brain science research, community engagement, and education. Thanks to the hospitality of owner/chef Chris Bruno and his staff we advanced our mission through conversation and community generosity.
The cozy and warm atmosphere of the upstairs space provided a beautiful back drop for the evening. The outstanding hors d'oeuvres, and attention to detail, exceeded our expectations. The music of Jim Allyn filled the room with warmth. It was an uplifting illustration of the power of community engagement.
Since the founding of The Avielle Foundation, Chris and the Foundry have been a true champion of our mission. We offer a heartfelt thank you to Chris and his staff for their unwavering support.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Richman, PhD
