Raymond E. Miller, Jr
Raymond E. Miller, Jr, 73, died March 7 at his home in Maine. He was born September 25, 1941, in Danbury, to Eva (Johnson) and Raymond Miller, and grew up in Newtown.
He married Karen Frederickson of Newtown, August 25, 1962. They had six children and moved to Dexter, Maine, in 1973.
Mr Miller loved spending time telling his hunting and fishing experiences and teaching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren about life. He loved spending time at camp on the south branch of the Penobscot River on Canada Falls Lake in Hammond Township, Maine. He loved the New York Yankees, golf, and being a fishing guide in Labrador for many years.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, his children, Donna McDaniel, Denise LeBlanc, Raymond Miller, Debbie White, Robert Miller, and Ryan Miller; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother Arnold Miller; and sisters Janet Milhourne and Darlene Dami survive Mr Miller. His parents and sister Gail Scott predeceased Mr Miller.
A celebration of life will take place from 1 to 4 pm, Saturday, March 12, at the Dexter Fire Department, Ripley, Maine. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
