The Two New Gym Teachers
The Two New Gym Teachers

The two gym teachers at Hawley School are pretty busy. On March 9, which is a half day off from school, Mr Douglas Michlovitz and Mr Tony Sortino are doing the program Jump Rope for the Heart. They will also be doing after school activities, after March break. The gym teachers believe in hard work. They also want kids to feel comfortable in gym and find a sport that the kids enjoy, and to have fun doing that sport.
This is a shocking and very interesting update. Before they knew each other, they each had scheduled a wedding in the summer. After they knew each other, they realized that their scheduled weddings were on the same day in June, one in the morning, one in the afternoon.
In spring the students will be doing fitness testing. They wonât be doing all of the tests that they did in the fall. The gym teachers are going to pick two of the regular tests that we usually do, and do those tests instead of the other tests. Those tests are still undecided.
Everything is new and exciting for Mr Micholvitz and Mr Sortino, because this is their first year at Hawley. They want people to stay active, do different activities, and try new things, like sports and other physical activities. Just to be healthy by staying fit.
On Dr Seuss Day (Dr Seussâs Birthday), the two gym teachers read 1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish to the kindergarten classes.
What Mr Michlovitz and Mr Sortino really want you to do is to stay in shape as long as you can.
