Jewish Storyteller To Perform
DANBURY â The Jewish Federation and Temple Beth Elohim will present internationally known storyteller Vered Hankin as part of the Federationâs ongoing series of cultural programs offered without charge. The program will take place on Sunday, March 26, at Temple Beth Elohim, Route 22 in Brewster, NY, at 3 pm.
Ms Hankin has performed in Israel and coast-to-coast in the United States. On stage, she easily transforms herself into different characters, each with distinct accents, facial expressions, and movements. The audience at Temple Beth Elohim will have an opportunity to be carried into her web.
The Jewish Federation invites all of the community members to participate in this magical afternoon. Ms Hankin can also be currently seen in the critically acclaimed New York production of the Yiddish masterpiece, God of Vengeance.
The Federation coordinates and operates a variety of social welfare, cultural and educational programs in Northern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield Counties in Connecticut, and Putnam, and Northern Westchester Counties in New York. Funds are also allocated to worldwide organizations such as the UJA and to a number of local institutions including Maimonides Academy of Western Connecticut, the UCONN Hillel and the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield.
For reservations or information, call 203/792-6353 (Federation) or 914/279-4585 (Temple Beth Elohim).
