Free Movie Night At ETH Theatre, Saturday
Thanks to an ongoing gesture of kindness by Ingersoll Auto of Danbury, the March 8 evening movie screening at Edmond Town Hall Theatre will be free of charge.
Ingersoll Auto of Danbury, owned by Todd Ingersoll of Newtown, started this monthly offer in January 2013. The company has arranged for one free movie screening at 45 Main Street each month.
This weekend’s feature is The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the latest offering in Director Peter Jackson’s version of the J.R.R. Tolkien classic story. The film is rated PG-13, and it has a running time of 2 hours, 41 minutes. It stars Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom and Cate Blanchett.
Anyone planning to attend a screening at Edmond Town Hall this weekend should note that Saturday and Sunday evening’s screenings will begin at 8 pm, instead of the traditional 7 pm start time.
It is at Edmond Town Hall through March 13. Regular movie admission is $2.
Additional screenings of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug are scheduled for tonight, and Monday through Thursday, March 10-13, at 7 pm; and Sunday, March 9, at 8 pm; with matinees on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday at 1 pm; and also Saturday and Sunday at 4:30.
