PHILADELPHIA, PENN. — The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts’ Art-at-Lunch talk on American art and culture on Wednesday, April 2, from noon to 1 pm, will provide a retrospective on Academy faculty member Murray Dessner.

Dessner has long explored the relationship between light and color in his serenely abstract paintings. His canvases have been described as “lush and romantic compositions that reward prolonged looking and contemplation.” Murray presents a talk about his influences and work, highlighting an upcoming retrospective book project about his long career as an artist.
