Machael Patrick Sliva and Alexandra Megyeri Roy

Maria and Frederick Roy of Newtown announce the engagement of their daughter Alexandra Megyeri Roy to Michael Patrick Sliva, son of Ann and Michael Sliva of Monroe.

Ms Roy is a 2005 graduate of Newtown High School and is currently attending Sacred Heart University majoring in political science.

Mr Sliva graduated from St Joseph High School in 2004 and will graduate from Fairfield University in May. He is majoring in finance and has accepted a position in the financial management program with GE in Fairfield.

The couple met through mutual friends and enjoy fishing, quiet tunes, and watching movies. The wedding date is set for May 24.
