Disseminating Misinformation
On FFH
To the Editor:
I would like to thank you for adding an âEditorâs Noteâ correcting last weekâs âletter of misinformationâ about Fairfield Hills [âDivert The Private Sector Away From Fairfield Hillsâ]. Why did you wait so long to start? For years now, certain individuals have been doing the residents a great disservice by writing letters every week and putting information on websites that is incorrect, especially about Fairfield Hills.
Over the past seven or eight years, I have attended thousands of hours of meetings of the Fairfield Hills Advisory Committee, then the Fairfield Hills Management Committee and then the Fairfield Hills Authority. Workshops were held and tours were given. There was always a Bee reporter present to write an article for the next edition. Apparently, people chose not to read them and then claim that there have been no public discussions, no information provided, etc. There is an unbelievable amount of misinformation out there â most of which can be attributed to one individual.
