NHS Band To March In

St Patrick’s Day Parade

The Newtown High School Marching Band and Color Guard will once again be participating in the New York City St Patrick’s Day Parade. Last year, Newtown High School won first place in the Marching Band division, earning a First Division spot in this year’s parade.

Last year, partly due to the overwhelming response following September 11, the parade ran so many hours overtime that the band never made it on television. This year should be different. So those who cannot attend in person should at least be able to and catch their hometown school in the parade on TV.
