An Evening With Sherry Winston

DANBURY — On March 23, the Woman’s Club of Danbury/New Fairfield will co-sponsor “The 4th Annual Evening of Jazz,” with Grammy-nominated flutist Sherry Winston and her band as the featured performers.

The Thursday evening concert will start at 7:30 pm. It will be performed at Ives Concert Hall on Western Connecticut State University’s midtown campus, at 181 White Street.

A reception with the artists will follow the performance.

Proceeds of this concert will benefit the programs of the AIDS Project Greater Danbury, Concerned Black Men for Youth Mentoring, The Woman’s Club of Danbury/New Fairfield, Minority Business Association, The Hispanic Center and the NAACP.

Advance admission is $20; at the door, $22; and senior admission is $10. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by sending a check payable to WCDNF (Woman’s Club of Danbury/New Fairfield) to Lore McCarthy, 4 Bear Mountain Road, New Fairfield, CT 06812. Please note the return address and phone number on the check. Pre-ordered tickets will be available on the evening of the concert at the entrance of the concert hall.
