To the Editor:

The Newtown Parent Connection raised over $6,000 and hit our goal of receiving over 50 unique contributions [on Fairfield County Giving Day, Thursday, February 27]. We are grateful to all those who took time out of their busy schedules to go on line and make a donation.

We are grateful to being a part of the Fairfield County Giving Day, which provides our organization an opportunity to share who we are and what we stand for. It’s a day that allows us to raise funds to push our mission forward to help as many people as we can through this drug epidemic.

Your dollars will be used diligently in growing our organization through our partnerships with schools and hospitals and ensuring those locally continue to benefit from the resources we offer. We’re committed to that and take our work, and your support, seriously.
