Limited seats are available. It has been over ten years since the artwork of world-renowned sculptor Dale Chihuly has been featured in a major exhibit in New York, and the dramatic vistas ofÃÂ The New York Botanical Garden provide an ideal setting for the work. The one-of-a-kind installations will highlight the connection between the artist's sculptures and the natural world and complement the architecture of the conservatory, itself a work of art. New, hand-blown glass sculptures, created especially for the New York Botanical Garden will be on exhibit through the Garden. The Garden in the Bronx consists of 28 specialty gardens, including a conservatory, a children's adventure garden, and a 40-acre old-growth forest. After spending the morning in the gardens trip goers will have time to stroll down Arthur Avenue, the "little Italy of the Bronx" for lunch on their own (if they do not eat in the gardens)and a chance to shop for Italian specialties. Trip goers can bring a cooler on the bus, but no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the bus. No discounts apply.Safe Boating/Personal Watercraft - A four-class course, offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting March 14, 7 to 9 pm, $25. This 8-hour course over four nights provides the student with satisfactory requirements to obtain the Certification of Personal Watercraft Operation, which allows the operation of motorized recreational vessels up to 65 feet, personal watercraft and sailboats 19½ feet in length and longer. Upon successful completion of this course, which includes an exam taken at the end of class, the student will be eligible to purchase their boating certificate for $50 online. This certificate is a one-time lifetime certification.Simplified Estate Planning For Boomers and Seniors - A one-time class, March 15, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, $29. The course will offer information on estate planning. Everyone has an estate and planning the estate preservation is critical for individuals and heirs. This course will detail the steps to undertake in developing an asset profile and documenting the necessary components.Yoga Stretch With Missy - A 12-class course starting March 15, 6:30 to 7:30 pm, $120 or six classes for $69. Unwind from a stress-filled day with a relaxing evening of yoga. Transform from tense and tight to mellow and limber. This yoga practice is designed to lengthen and stretch breath. Take the time and truly be in a peaceful moment. Wear sweatpants and bring an exercise/yoga mat. A yoga strap and yoga block are optional.Cardio Dance - A six class course starting March 15, 5:30 to 6:20 pm, $79. Get moving and kick metabolism into high gear with fun cardio. Sweat to the oldies and to today's hits. No experience necessary, fun and safe. All levels welcome, modifications are provided. A warm-up, flex, stretch, tone, core work, and cardio will happen at each class. Athletic support sneakers or cross trainers and gym attire recommended. Bring a beach towel or a yoga mat.Tap Dancing - A six-class course starting March 15, 6:30 to 7:20 pm, $79. Tap will give the student a basic understanding of tap sounds and rhythms combined with basic jazz movements to facilitate the sounds of the taps. Students will move through basic dance positions to begin to learn to balance and replace weight. Tap shoes and water needed for class.Country Western Line Dancing - A six-class course, starting March 15, 7:30 to 8:20 pm, $79. A great cardio exercise. For those who took this series last time and missed a few classes, the course will repeat a few dances but will have additional new dances to learn. The course will also talk about country dance technique and dance floor etiquette. Comfortable clothing and flat dance shoes recommended.Adult Child CPR/AED. - A one-time class, March 16, 5:30 to 8 pm, $89. The course will teach what to do during emergencies. Positively Shocking LLC can teach the skills and provide coursegoers with a two-year American Red Cross Certification in CPR in an easy and fun environment. The course is designed so that lay persons will react with confidence in an emergency situation. In addition to the one-night CPR/AED class Newtown Continuing Education also offers a one-night First Aid Class. Students will learn the fox trot, waltz, cha-cha, and more. Joe Williams and Noni Low have been dancing together for more than 20 years and teaching ballroom dance for beginners to advanced for 15 years. Their basic concept of ballroom dancing consists of having fun with easy to learn instructions. Couples and singles welcome.
