James M. Moran

Former Read’s Employee

James M. Moran, 73, of Newtown, formerly of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital, March 4. Mr Moran was born in Danbury, son of John W. and Arlene (O’Donnell) Moran.

He was a graduate of Danbury High School and had worked for many years in retail sales at the former Read’s Department Store.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan Santos, of Nahant, Mass.; a son, David R. Moran and wife, Kimberly, of Danbury; and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Peter Church, Danbury, Saturday, March 7, at 10:30 am. Burial will be in St Peter Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Friday evening, March 6,  from 6 to 8 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford CT 06108.
