Hearing Loss Talk, Blood Pressure Check
Hearing Loss Talk, Blood Pressure Check
Masonicare at Newtown has two free programs planned this month that will help everyone in the community keep their health in check.
A free Lunch and Learn Program for the community titled âHear and Now: Hearing Loss, Hearing Aids, and How We Can Maximize Our Hearing Potentialâ will be offered on Thursday, March 19, in the Lodge Room at Masonicare at Newtown (formerly Ashlar of Newtown), 139 Toddy Hill Road in Sandy Hook.Â
Hillary Lewis, MA, CCC-A, an audiologist with Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, will present the program. A complimentary lunch will be served at noon, and the program will begin at 12:15 pm.Â
Todayâs technology has made significant differences in the way hearing devices can compensate for hearing loss. Ms Lewis will explain what to expect with hearing loss, describe some of the newest, most sophisticated hearing aids available and how they can help, and provide advice to help people understand what might best meet their needs.
Masonicare at Newtown sponsors the Lunch and Learn series to provide the public with important and timely health and wellness information. There is no fee for the program, but seating is limited. Anyone wishing to attend may call the Masonicare HelpLine at 888-679-9997 to make a reservation.
