Adopt A Family Friend From Animal Control

The following dogs and cats are available for adoption from the Newtown pound, which is located at the end of Ethan Allen Road (behind the transfer station):

NOAH is a 2-year-old male Beagle/ Jack Russell mix. He plays well with dogs an cats and is very high energy.

PJ is a 2-year-old male Pit Bull. He loves to be around people and is very cuddly.

CHEVY is a 5-year-old male American Pit Bull Terrior and Rottweiler mix. He loves people and craves affection but is not good with dogs and cats. He knows basic commands.    

FIONA is a 5-year-old female German Shepherd mix. She gets a long with other dogs, loves to play with a ball and would be great for a family with older children. 

SASHA is a 2-year-old female brindle terrier mix. She does not get along with other dogs or cats, but loves people and loves to play.

ELLIE is a 1-year-old female Calico cat.

JUICY is an adult male long-haired orange cat.

LILY is a 1-year-old domestic short haired cat who is very outgoing and friendly.

MARBLE is a tortoiseshell cat who is approximately 1 year old 

ANDY is a friendly long haired 8 month old male cat.

PAT is a calico cat who was found and awaits new owners.

 

If you wish to adopt, please call Newtown Animal Control at 426-6900 or Canine Advocates at 426-5327. Canine Advocates of Newtown, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer group, raises funds to spay/neuter and provide shots against DHLPP and rabies for all of the Newtown Pound cats and dogs. CAN also provides a free training DVD and Beyond Obedience Dog Training offers one free individual training lesson to adopters.
