In light of the turbulence and violence of the world, Newtown Interfaith Council is planning a Gathering for Peace.

The special event, open to all, is scheduled for Sunday, March 19, at 5 pm, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street.

There will be music, sacred readings, prayers, and time for drawing closer to one’s soul and to God.

An offering will also be taken to benefit an organization (TBD) that works for peace.
