KAA Issues Call For Artists

KENT — The Kent Art Association will begin its 87th season with a non juried show of members’ works.

Representational and non objective original work in oils, watercolors, pastels, graphics, acrylics, small sculpture and artistic collage are all accepted. Artists may enter up to three pieces, and will be required to pay a non-refundable $20 entry fee.

Entry fee is $20 for members for up to two pieces and artwork must be hand delivered. Artists can become members at receiving which will take place at The KAA Gallery, 21 South Main Street in Kent, on Saturday, March 13, from 11 am to 2 pm.

The show will be on view March 14 to April 11.

Five cash awards will be given during an awards ceremony scheduled for Saturday, March 20. Judges are Edward DeVoe, Marija McCarthy, and Adele Moros. Show chair is Murielle Duchesne.

Member benefits include entry into two non-juried shows annually, reduced entry fees for all shows, ability to display two small works at all shows, have six portfolio pieces in the gallery at all times, a display of artwork on the KAA website, a link the website to the artist’s website, and artist news published in the KAA newsletter.
