Found Joy With

Her Family

Jane E. Thompson, 77, of Brookfield, formerly of Ridgefield, wife of the late William H. Thompson, died March 1, at Danbury Hospital. She was born in New York City August 19, 1932, daughter of Cynthia (Hamlin) and Alexander DuFlon.

She is survived by three children, including Edward Thompson and his wife, Laura, of Newtown; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs Thompson was predeceased by two beloved sisters, Cynthia M. Thompson, and her twin sister, Eileen V. Scallon.

Mrs Thompson was a retired executive assistant having worked for Equitable Life Insurance in New York, Homequity in Wilton for more than 20 years, and Marder’s Landscaping in Bridgehampton, N.Y.

She attended St Mary’s Church, Ridgefield, and St Joseph’s Church in Brookfield. Mrs Thompson’s interests included league bowling with friends in her younger years and assisting in the care of infants between birth and adoption in her later years. Her greatest joy was always her family, most especially her grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 4. Burial took place in St John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, N.Y.
