Radical Connection Series To Reignite Bond With Earth, Ourselves And Each Other
In a world increasingly defined by digital distraction, political division, and environmental crisis, a new program seeks to bring people back to what truly matters: our connection to the Earth, to ourselves, and to one another.
Local nonprofit Love Has a Home, with Rev Bill Donaldson and others, is launching the Radical Connection Series, a transformative three-part event designed to deepen our relationships with the world around us. Hosted at Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson Street, the series will begin on Friday, March 28, with “Radical Connection to the Earth.”
This first event will feature renowned Climate Change Educator and Ecologist Dr Mitch Wagener, a professor of biology at Western Connecticut State University. His presentation, “The Ethics and Economics of Human Survival,” will explore the moral and financial stakes of climate change and what individuals and communities can do to make a difference.
The evening will also include insights from Native American traditions and interfaith spirituality, illuminating the deep, sacred ties that bind humanity to the natural world.
Upcoming Sessions
The Radical Connection Series will continue with two more thought-provoking evenings:
Thursday, April 24 — “Radical Connection to Ourselves,” which will explore self-awareness, inner peace, and spiritual growth in an age of distraction; and
Thursday, May 29 — “Radical Connection to Each Other,” a conversation on building meaningful relationships and healing divisions in our communities.
The Radical Connection Series is open to the public and welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, faiths, and perspectives. Registration is required and the fee is an optional donation to cover expenses.
Donaldson says the series is “rediscovering what it means to be truly connected.
“At a time when so many forces pull us apart, we are creating a space for unity, understanding, and transformation,” he added.
