Taking Leave Of Newtown
Taking Leave Of Newtown
To the Editor:
I have lived in Newtown for many, many years. I know a lot of wonderful people and was even asked to be a judge for the Tercentennial Labor Day Parade. I have also done a lot of volunteer work over the years in town.
But now, unfortunately, due to medical issues, I need to be closer to all of my physicians, so this week I reached out, hoping to get some guidance and help in my relocation, and I received a call back from a businesswoman in town. I would just like to say I have never been treated so unprofessionally from a so-called professional. She insulted me, and her treatment of me was unbelievable.
As a longtime resident of Newtown, as we all know it is, as the bumper stickers say, âNicer in Newtownâ; it is not nicer with this person.
It breaks my heart to have to leave. I wish everyone the best of everything.
No person should be cruel to another, or ridicule another, for a disease and/or illness that is only in Godâs hands. My illness has nothing to do with lifestyle. To the woman who was so cruel to me: I will pray for you, in every day that I live, that you have a happy and healthy life. God bless you.
Warmly,
Brendajo Locke
