DEERFIELD, MASS. â Historic Deerfield will present the exhibition âClothes Make the Man: The Colonial Gentleman in New England,â on view March 29âAugust 17 in the Flynt Center of Early New England Life.
Eighteenth Century gentlemen were stylish and impressive. The exhibition features recent acquisitions of menâs costumes, as well as the âFreedom Suitâ owned by Jacob Brown (1736â1816) from the Concord Museum that illustrate menâs fashions during the 1700s.
