Program On Treating Diabetes
DANBURY â The standards of care and new medicines for type II diabetes will be the program at the Monday, March 21, meeting of the Diabetes Club of Danbury at Danbury Hospital.
The organization is a support group for people with diabetes, their families and friends. It features a monthly guest speakers program at the hospital.
 The March 21 meeting, from 7:30 to 9 pm, will feature Robert Ruxin, MD, an internist and director of the diabetes club, and Rebecca Palmer, a registered nurse and certified diabetes educator.
Support group meetings take place in the back of the cafeteria located on the third floor South Building. The goal of the free monthly programs is to provide continuous up-to-date information and education regarding the day-to-day management of diabetes.
