Police report that sometime between 9 pm February 28, and 7:30 am March 1, someone slashed two tires on a vehicle that was parked near the Dunkinâ Donuts store at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street. Police are investigating the criminal mischief and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 426-5841 or at 270-8888.
Snowplow Accident
Police report a minor accident between a town snowplow and a parked heating fuel delivery truck on Shut Road in Dodgingtown about 11 am March 1.
 Police said that an unoccupied 1999 International fuel tanker, which was delivering fuel, was parked in front of 7 Shut Road. The tankerâs driver was Fabio DeSousa, 31, of Danbury.
At that time, a westbound town-owned 1997 Ford F-4000 truck, which was plowing snow and was driven by Paul Martin, 63, of Brookfield, was traveling in the area, police said.
As the town snowplow truck passed by the fuel tanker, the two vehiclesâ exterior left, rear-view mirrors collided, police said. There were no injuries. Police verbally warned DeSousa for improper parking.
