Thanks to China Central Television and NPR, I've seen how my larger - much larger - relatives deal with technology. The video "Chubby Siberian Tigers Hunt Electronic Bird Of Prey" (npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/02/23/516845664) proves that drones are no match for tigers - and at the speed these big cats took out (and tasted) a drone put into their space to entice them to exercise, it looks like drones might be the more endangered species.dylanswingsofchange.org/auctions. "The 5th Annual Festival of Song," hosted by the Newtown Rotary Club to benefit the Newtown Scholarship Association, took place almost exactly half a century ago, on March 11, 1967. The concert featured the United Nations Singers, and Dr Draper, who was Rotary president at the time, recalled that it was an event looked forward to by residents each year. "We had a packed house, I can tell you," said Dr Draper, adding that there was broad-based community support for the concert. Coverage of the event, in the March 17, 1967 Newtown Bee, indicates 400 people attended the Festival of Song. The Bee. Brendan worked as a freelance photographer for The Newtown Bee in the 1990s, when he was a student at NHS. He has taken his skills to great heights since those days, photographing major events for several high profile journals. We received a press release this week with some news from Berkshire Veterinary Hospital. "Newtown-based Berkshire Veterinary Hospital tasked audio branding specialist PHMG to construct customized on-hold messages, which will be played whenever customers call the business and are put on hold or transferred. The family-run firm wanted a sound which reflected its personable and friendly nature while also promoting its efficient, hands-on approach to veterinary care. Both a welcoming male and upbeat female voice were used to appeal to the broad audience, along with gentle and soothing music. 'At our practice, we pride ourselves on treating our customers like family and our on-hold marketing production shows them we care,' said Kasia Guzy, hospital administrator at Berkshire Veterinary Hospital." Sounds like music to my ears.

The press caught some photos this week of President Trump's counselor, Kellyanne Conway, getting comfy on the Oval Office couch, and the pictures raised some eyebrows and went a little viral. One of the photographers who captured the feet-tucked-back photo of Ms Conway, published in
