Six classes are $69 or all 12 classes are $120. Unwind from a stress-filled day with a relaxing evening of yoga. Transform from tense and tight to mellow and limber. This yoga practice is designed to lengthen and stretch breath. Take the time and truly be in the moment. Participants are asked to wear sweatpants and bring an exercise/yoga mat. Yoga strap and yoga block are optional.Creative Jewelry - A one-time class being offered from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm starting on Wednesday, March 16, $29. Coursegoers will learn to design and make their own unique jewelry. Bring your imagination and get ready to create beautiful gifts for the holiday season. Participants will design and make bracelets, necklaces, and earrings using beads, pearls, wood, crystals, charms, and clay beads. A materials fee of $10 is payable to the instructor the first class.Ballroom Dancing - A four-class course from 7 pm to 8 pm starting on Thursday, March 17. The fee is $99 per couple or $51 for a single. Participants will learn the fox trot, waltz, cha-cha and more. Joe Williams and Noni Low have been dancing together for more than 20 years and teaching ballroom dance for beginners to advanced for 15 years. Their basic concept of ballroom dancing consists of having fun with easy-to-learn instructions. Learn what the pros look for, how to prepare, and where to find work in the area. The course will discuss industry pros and cons and play samples from working voice professionals. This class is lots of fun, realistic, and a great first step for anyone interested in the voiceover field. Participants will learn the basics to successfully use Microsoft Word 2010, the best-selling word processing software. Learn how to create documents, editing techniques, text and paragraph formatting, document formatting, spell-check and thesaurus tools, cut, copy, and paste, as well as many other features. No prior word processing knowledge is necessary, but a basic knowledge of computers and Windows is helpful.Hatha Yoga - An eight-class course from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm starting Monday, March 21, $89. The course will offer classic yoga postures in an easy-to-follow format. Alignment and corrections given. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat and towel. Yoga blocks are optional.Accounting 101 - An eight-class course from 6 pm to 8 pm starting on Tuesday, March 22, $124. This is a beginner accounting course that assumes no accounting experience. The course will cover the complete accounting cycle: analyzing transactions; recording transactions into a journal (journal entries); posting to the general ledger, creating a trial balance; making adjusting journal entries and putting together the balance sheet and income statement (financial statements). Accounting principles and theory will be discussed. Participants will learn four to five classic country western dances. No partner or dance experience needed. The course will include fun and simple instruction for all. This is great cardio exercise. Comfortable clothing and flat dance shoes are recommended.Sewing Machine Basics - A three-class course from 6 pm to 8 pm starting Thursday, March 24, $79. Participants will become comfortable with their own sewing machine, learn easy techniques to make many wonderful projects, and how to save time and money with simple mending. Participants should bring their sewing machine, manual, and accessories. A materials fee of $10 is payable to the instructor the first night of class. The course will go over seeds, getting plants ready for outdoor planting, and how to choose the best plants for success. Then we will make our houseplants happy - learn how to pick and keep healthy houseplants, and finally, how to create a charming indoor terrarium. Led by an organic lifestyle blogger and master gardener, this course will show you how to keep busy indoors until the outside thaws! A $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor on the first night of class.Basic Watercolor Techniques - A six-class course being offered from 6:30 pm to 9 pm starting on Tuesday, March 22, $119. Participants will explore the art of watercolor painting. This course will include the basic techniques for using watercolor as an expressive and versatile way to paint. Basic drawing/illustration techniques for artists will be covered. The class will include more advanced techniques for students who already know some of the basics. Students will be required to purchase supplies and a list will be provided.
