Mother And Grandmother

Anna Midlik, 88, died February 24 at St Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport to Andrew and Mary Halas Makara, she had been a resident of Fairfield for more than 55 years.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Stephen Midlik, Jr, and his wife, Pam, of Newtown; her son-in-law, Peter R. Clem, Jr; loving grandmother of Katie and Christina Midlik, Peter Clem III and his wife, Heather, and David Clem; and beloved sister of Andrew Makara, John Makara, and Julia Makara, all of Bridgeport.

Her husband, Stephen Midlik, Sr; a devoted daughter, Barbara Clem; and a grandson, Stephen W. Midlik, predeceased her.

Mrs Midlik was a loving and humble soul. A true athlete with great heart, she had the pioneer spirit. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to garden and walk. She will be greatly missed.

Requiem funeral services took place on February 28 in Adzima Funeral Home in Stratford with the Very Rev David Cochran officiating. Interment was in St John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
