Anda Styler At Next SCAN Meeting

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will have an acrylic painting demonstration by Anda Styler of Sherman on Wednesday, March 8, at 7:30 pm. The program is free, open to the public, and will be in the lower room at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at the flagpole) in Newtown.

Anda Styler’s playful and spontaneous approach shows her strong sense of color and her skills in composition and design.

Ms Styler received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Parsons School of Design. She has won many awards and has exhibited her work in numerous group and one-woman shows. Presently she is preparing work for three different gallery shows for this summer.

Ms Styler’s work has been included in many publications. She wrote a step-by-step instruction article on acrylic painting techniques for Artist’s Magazine (November 1999) and her work has been featured in Country Living Magazine (June 2001). Six full color works are included in Acrylic Painting Techniques by Earl Killeen(North Light Publications).
