Occupation: I am a realtor with William Raveis Real Estate in Newtown. I have recently been inducted into the President’s Club, which means I am one of the top 15 percent sellers. I have been with William Raveis for nine years and just recently moved to the Newtown office from Wilton.

Family: My husband Phil and I have been married for ten years. He works for Tauck World Discoveries in Norwalk. My daughter, Katie, is 8 years old, our son Nicholas is 5, and Philip, is 2½ . Katie and Nicholas both attend Head O’ Meadow School.

Pets: We have a very friendly golden retriever named Bo, short for Bogey. And we have two hermit crabs, Lovey and Shelley.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We have been here for seven years. We both grew up in the area and we moved here from Stamford.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love to travel and I enjoy playing golf. I am a Brownie troop leader with Troop 337, and I’m active in the Newtown Congregational Church, and I am a member of the Working Women’s Forum. I recently joined Women Involved in Newtown, too. I enjoy watching television with my husband and playing video games, and I like to read cookbooks.

Do you have a favorite cookbook? Right now, it’s Cook For The Cure, a book compiles by William Raveis associates to benefit breast cancer research. I like a lot of the different cookbook collections.

What is your favorite video game? Lumines. It’s like a puzzle, very much like the computer game, Tetris, and I’m totally addicted to it.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We took a family trip to Italy last April and it was fabulous. We got to stay with family on a farm in a small town. The kids stayed with the family and Phil and I took a tour of Rome and the Amalfi Coast. I can’t wait to go back. We also spend a lot of time in Idaho. My grandfather was a homesteader in Idaho and Montana and my family owns a cabin on the Snake River.

What is the best thing about Newtown? Of course, the people. They are friendly and warm and there’s such a sense of community. And I love the view from our house. We overlook Dickinson Park, Newtown Golf Course, and Fairfield Hills. We get to see beautiful sunrises.

If you could spend a day with anyone, who would that be? I would love to spend a day in the future with my grandchildren and great-grandchildren, just to see what they’re like and what the world is like.

Do you have a personal philosophy? “You’re never fully dressed without a smile.”

Do you have a favorite memory? There are a lot of good ones. One of my favorite memories is getting a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich at the General Store and hanging out with my kids at Dickinson Park. And probably missing the Labor Day Parade the year I was in labor with our son, Philip. But it was worth missing the parade that one year.
