Open House Planned

For Family History Center

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 16 Sawmill Road, will host an open house at its Newtown Family History Center on Saturday, March 15. The open house will be from 11 am until 1 pm. The adjacent library will also be open during those two hours.

Special guest will be Kathleen Lenerz, PhD, a practicing genealogist for more than ten years.

Dr Lenerz will offer a presentation on “Effective Use of the Internet for Family History: beyond event dates and places” to open the event.

A consultant at the Family History Center in Woodbridge, Dr Lenerz has assisted family historians with a broad range of research issues and is familiar with records from Germany, France, England, Ireland, and Canada, as well as the United States. She has a special interest in the effective use of the Internet for genealogy.

The open house will follow Dr Lenerz’s lecture.

Reservations are not necessary, but additional information is available by contacting the church office at 203-438-3026 or the Family History Center at 426-1752.
