Madeline I. Boucher, 94, of Newtown, died February 20 at Ashlar of Newtown. Mrs Boucher was the wife of the late Thomas K. Boucher. She was born in Bridgeport, April 24, 1913, a daughter of Charles and Josephine (Harter) Schmid.
Mrs Boucher was a longtime resident of Bridgeport before moving to Newtown in the 1960s.
She had a lovely soprano voice and had sung with many choirs and choruses, including the German Schwaben Singing Society.
Mrs Boucher is survived by a son, Thomas K. Boucher, Jr of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Madeline Hackett of Wakefield, R.I., Susan Medve of Northport, Fla., and Josephine Boucher of Berea, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, Monday, March 3, at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in St Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There are no calling hours.
 Arrangements are in the care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
