Terracino

Philanthropic Community Member

Jerome “Jerry” Terracino of Newtown, devoted husband of Patricia Ann Morasco-Terracino, died at Danbury Hospital on February 22. He was born in Goshen, N.Y., a son of Joseph and Ida (Barbero) Terracino.

From early childhood, he was both a co-provider and protector of his younger siblings.

He was the president and founder of Guardian Alarm Services in Danbury. In addition to being a very successful businessman, he was a kind and generous person to the community and everyone around him. Mr Terracino’s generosity extended beyond the local area. His most recent passion was supplying water to the people of Uganda. 

Mr Terracino was a parishioner of St Rose Church in Newtown and a former parishioner of St Marguerite Bourgeoys in Brookfield. He was very active in church affairs, including retreats and Perpetual Adoration.

He was a volunteer at the homeless shelter in Danbury, at Danbury Hospital, and was a also supporter of the Friends Network of Brewster.

In addition to his loving wife and partner of 20 years, he was a devoted father to Lynn Fonseca and her husband, Joseph, and Thomas, Jennifer, Mia, and Gianna Terracino; and doting grandfather to Nicholas, Kathryn, and Joshua Fonseca, and Taryn Rose Terracino. He is also survived by three siblings, Colette Terracino, Margaret Rossman, and James Terracino; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Terracino.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated February 27 at St Rose in Newtown. Burial followed the service.
