 Scholarship For Judaic Studies
The Board of Trustees of the United Jewish Center of Danbury is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for the Kanter-Krakow Educational Achievement Award, an annual $5,000 scholarship for a student pursuing a degree in Judaic Studies.
Recipients must be undergraduate or graduate students from the greater Danbury area. If more than one candidate is thought to be deserving, the $5,000 award may be divided. The same person may not receive the award for more than two successive years, although it may be granted again after an interval of at least one year. Award recipients will be designated by a committee comprising the Rabbis, President, First vice-president, and Director of Religious Education of the United Jewish Center, and when possible, a member of the Kanter or Krakow families.
Students eligible for the award are invited to apply by contacting the office of The United Jewish Center, 141 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810.
The deadline for receipt of completed applications is April 28, 2000.
